Although I thought that Jennifer Hudson's white, gray, and black cocktail dress was too distracting, the black sequence gown she wore during her performance was very classy and sophisticated.

I definitely agree at first Jennifer Hudson's outfit was a little uh "out there" but the sequined gown was very nice, I liked it and loved her performance.
Some garment of the 2009 Grammys that really caught my attention were:
1) Whitney Houston's Zuhair Murad gown was beautiful. It was DRAPED and showed LOTS of leg.lol. I didn't really like the fabric tie on the dress but of course I loved the SEQUUINED embellishment on it. Despite her past issues Ms. Whitney's Lorraine Schwartz jewelry as well as that blue and whit gown was awesome.
2)Katy Perry's sequined fruit dress was outrageous. It was cute but, still it was SEQUINED FRUIT; something different and very interesting. I can't even comment on her performance because I was just staring at the dress like what designer in their right mind constructed this. Did I like it; No, but did she rock it; definitely. I have to give her props for rocking SEQUINED FRUIT.
3)MIA didn't shock me at all, but seriously I thought she looked tacky and it has nothing to do with the fact that she was pregnant, although she did look like she would deliver that baby on the Grammy stage. I'll admit that her outfit might have looked cute if it wasn't SEE-THROUGH, maybe some nicer fabric would've helped. Being pregnant is not an excuse to be trashy. There are many celebrities-Halle Berry, Jennifer Lopez-to name a few who have dressed fantastically with their baby bumps included.lol. MIA's lady bug thingy really disrespected the poor insect but hey tou gotta love her...I guess.
4)Carrie Underwood's performance outfit was okay. Cool color and all but there was just too much going on including the seqined microphone. But still she looked good.
Man i thought i was da only one who noticed the first outfit she had on. I had to crack a laugh on that. But on another note I felt the dress Fantazia wore was nice on her. Now I love M.I.A but waht the heck waz she wearin , she did rock the stage though. And i like how T.I Jay-Z Lil Wyane put what they call "Personality" in to they suits.Oh yea but was it me or did Miley Cyrus look a mess n that black dress.

From my personal opinion I loved but of Jennifer Hudson's outfits. The black sequined dress was absoultly beautiful. I thought that she looked very classic and classy. The white and black dress I agree was very " OUT THERE " butI love that she took a risk and tried something new, I thoght she dress was a blend between couture and sassy I love it. Plus she has such i beautiful voice.
Ok now need to leave MIA alonw because yall knwe that her style was crazy from the start, besides she is 9 months pregnant. MIA likes to take risks and I love that about her not many poeple can do that. All I was worried about was the baby that was about to come out.
Whitney is coming back yall she was so beautiful. She had look like she just had botox thought buit her dress was pretty.

i believe that jennifer hudson is very stlying, she knows fashion, and she know how to dress. shes very beautiful, she can sing and shes very loving.
Kate Perry's dress was not so bad, it was a bit exaggerating but it's her style. She's not afraid of trying new things and she goes for things others wouldn't wear. I give her a thumbs up because she wears what she feels good in and it fits her even if it might be weird.
On the other hand Miley Cyrus looked uncomfortable in that black dress. It was too big for her. I personally thing she looks better in short thin dresses because of her height.
There was another person that I loved the way her dress looked. I forgot her name but she wore a fitted black dress with a volumed piece in her ensemble. If I could just rememeber her name it would be better to describe what she wore. Well all I can say was she looked great, but she should've put her hair up in a bun so we would've have a better view of her accessories.

Well as we can see M.I.A. has been the talk of the nice for being "Worst Dressed". I totally agree !! For her first grammy award show, she looked a HOT MESS !! Who told her to cut upp a black shirt like that where her breasts, stomach and butt area is at with a pockadot shirt under ! Smhh. She needs a Stylist ASAP ! We cant have the future of the world dress like that !
But on another note,
I think that Kate Perry looked very pretty in her pink dress, as well as Fantasia Burrino. Her Hair && outfit was a total neww look for her and showed her classy side. I liked her dress as well as her shoes very much.
I was glad to see that Jay Z && Kanye West cleaned theirselves upp. They were looking like times were hard.
For Grammys 09, we have seen the Best && Worst.

There were A LOT of hits as well as misses at the Grammys this year.
My favorites were: Taylor Swift who wore a simple, black Kaufman Franco jersey dress, Kim Kardashian who wore a silver, ethereal-like, ruffly dress, and Jennifer Hudson's black sequined dress that she wore during her emotional performance.
My least favorites were: M.I.A. who wore that ridiculous flowery dress and Katy Perry's baby pink Basil Soda dress (which reminded me a little of Madonna's music video for Material Girl, which by the way is NOT a good thing).
For the most part, the Grammys (fashion-wise) were a bit of a disappointment.

1. M.I.A is a crazy funky person and her outfits were just her.
2.Paris Hilton's dress looked a little magical and not for the red carpet.
3.I love Miley Cyrus...but her dress by Max Azria looked a little to old for her, and it was way to dressy for her.
4.Estelle's outfit looked like something from back to the future lol.
5. Carrie Underwood'd dress was so classy and golden. This dress match perfectly with her golden skin.

i think katie perrys first soft pink dress looked elegant on her as she entered the show. I always love how Cold Play dresses aw man! with their jackets and patches and funky colors. i think we have to come up with more creative outfits for guys like that because i see similar things usually. John Mayer's jacket looked nice though it was different from the typical jackets because of the pockets. Lisa Rinna's one shoulder dress was soooo gorgeous to me what a perfect choice. she was revealing but still classy to me i like the long length i give it a 10 for hair and dress i couldnt see the shoes though i missed them *sad face* but a million kudos to her in that dress she pulled it off ah! so amazing okie dokie moving on: Leanne Rhymes' blue dress was cute the waist looked rocker and i liked the different shades of purple on paris hilton's dress. the colors were nice.

Her outfit was just wrong from her head to do. It looked like she had on spandex and the pants from the Hammertime video. I didn't really like it that much.
MIA was a tad bit outrageous. I didn't understand her outfit at all. It really did not appeal to me at all. I felt reminded of Willy Wonka.
My favorite outfit of the night was worn by Taylor Swift. I think that her dress was to die for. her black and silver dress was gorgeous and made her stand out. I love things that sparkle and her dress made her shine.

I definitely agree Jennifer Hudson's first dress didn't suit her. The neckline of the cocktail dress didn't complement her. Personally I love sequint dresses, they always catch my attention; Hudson's second dress was an absolute HIT for me. Her perfomance was amazing..it made me cry :P

Well first off we have to congradulate on M.I.A'S performance. She was past her due date in her pregnancy and she still managed to have alot of energy while performing on stage. One of the most upsetting things about this performance was her outfit. Come on who in there right mind would wear and outfit like that. Someone really needed to call the FASHION POLIEC to lock her up in jail for wearing that.

I disagree! I loved both of Jennifer Hudson's outfits that evening. I love how she knows how to wear garments that flatter her figure but not make her look inappropriate.
I loved Katy Perry's outfit! She didn't over accessorize to take away the attention from the dress. The color of the fabric complimented her skin very well.
The gown that Miley Cyrus wore was very elegant. However, it was worn at the wrong occasion. Also, I think it covered up too much and the color was too boring for the grammy's.
Whitney Houston looked gorgeous that night. I loved everything from her gown to her accessories. It was age-appropriate and the fabric was just right.

i thought Kate Beckinsale wore one the the most gorgeous dresses, i loved how fit it was at the top then at the knee flared out, it was drammatic but perfect for such an occation.
I didnt Get to watch the grammys. Yeah I know but I dont watch TV that much. But from the picture I see I think both outfits arent too bad. I actually like the white and grey outfit.

wow in my opinion i didnt like any of jennifer hudson's outfits i thought that both didnt do much for her figure or look . The first out had nice colors but it looked like she had a big piece of tight tissue . Then the second outfit jus looked weird to me ...it was too shiny for me . Theres was somethin about it .However her performance was great . i could tell she dedicated that song to her deceased family members ...so sad wat happened to them ...may god be with them . = (
