"The Fabric of Our Lives"

In Patternmaking and Sewing Techniques we have shopped and selected woven fabrics for our skirts.

In Draping we used a woven stretch fabric to drape the Basic Cowl Bodice.

Conduct an internet research on fabric studies. Choose two fabrics of your choice and for each fabric post the fabric name, definition, and the end uses for the fabric. Include the website url where you found your information.

Lace:lightweight openwork fabric, patterned, either by machine or by hand, with open holes in the work, built up from a single thread with the open spaces.
Lace is used for intimate wear, and to add detail on evening dresses, skirts, bodices and sometimes jackets.

I use satin and lace on most of my designs bc I like it's texture and the details on laces give a more beautiful look on outfits.

if i had to pick any fabric in the world it would be a fabric by the name atlas(rich satin fabric). i guess my designer style would consist of delicate garments that both compliment the body and comfort the model. Satin is really soft and using this rich type of satin would definitly give my designs the look i am looking for.
