This past week we completed our Hand Embroidery samples. List the various stitches you learned how to sew, and discuss how you will use them in your original design ideas. Conduct a brief Internet research and list 4 facts about Hand Embroidery. Include the URL from the website that you found your information on. Today at 7 pm, I watched Coco Chanel on Lifetime. I personally have to say that I did not enjoy it. I thought it was going to be something totally different and more exciting. I think the director of the movie should have done a better job on it, especially because it is based off of a fashion legend.

yes i agree with the young lady below . i also found the program to be quite a dull .
but besides the fact that fashion week is over.
i've gotten full coverage on the baby phat fashion show & i have got to say i really liked it. i am really not a big fan of baby phat clothing but the fashion show pictures looked awesome.

Tia I agree with you. The Coco Chanel film was more based on her personal life than her professional experience. Do you have any comment about this weeks post?
i have learned 4 different stitches: chain stitch, outline stitch, blanket stitch, fill-in. i may use these stitches if i were to include them in my design, but i feel that i should learn alot more stitches, so mayb i can b inspired by them. a fact that i learned is that u can embroider with metal strips, beads, quills and sequins (this is from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Embroidery). anither fact is that no one actually knows the orgin of embroidery, but some examples were found in ancient Egypt, Iron Age Northern Europe and Zhou Dynasty China. their ways of doing it can be different because of their culture. there is also a stitch called the blackwork embroidery, it was used mostly in the elizabethan era, during the english renaisannce.
