Welcome fashion Designer’s of tomorrow. This week you will be introduced to the Draping 1 course work, and will learn what the instructional objective is for this class. What do you expect to learn in this class, and do you believe it is important for fashion designers to be able to drape? If so, why or why not. I look forward to your responses and reflections!

Draping is a very important skill a fashion designer can obtain. To me, draping adds some sort of movement and creates an illusion to the form of the garment no matter who is wearing it. If it wasnt for draping we would not have such famous designs from Bestey Johnson or Heatherette. My prespective on draping is that this form of technique is useful. One must master this form to be considered a designer. I expect to learn in this class the art form of draping and the different ways in which you can drape.
As a furure designer I think it is important to know how to drape.As designers it is a skillful technique you should know that will help improve your ability to construct a garment.I hope to learn more about draping and getting one step closer to my goal and dream in life.
I agree with you Maryetta "One must master the skill of draping in order to be considered a designer. And I hope to teach you the basic skills this term.
I forgot what I said in my first comment, but I'll try to rewrite it. In this class I expect to learn the skills that will make me a better fashion designer. I believe it is extrememly important for fashion designers to be able to drape. Fashion designers might want their designs a certain way, so draping it would be useful if they want the garment to fit a certain way.
i think that draping is an important skill that fashion designers need, because it is then easier for the designer to be able to identify their creative elements to make the garment. i also agree with alana's comment i think that people would want there clothing to fit a certain way therefore draping is in important technique that designers need.In this class i expect to be able to drape like a prO.

I expect to learn the art of draping and the many forms of it as well as constructing garments step by step. I believe that draping is a extremely
important skill that a designer should know because it is one of the basic roots of constructing garments. Also it is very important because draping to me is the key of constructing well fitted and tailored pieces that are made for that persons one and only body.

Draping should be a very important task a Fashion Designer should take before actually making there garment. Drapping allows you to have a picture and feel on what your garment will actually look like. Draping is what makes Designers "Popular Deisngers" because it makes there garment come out the way it was pictured or the way it was expected to be made. Im looking foward to learn how to drape and the many different ways there is to drape in this draping class.
