Election Day Fashion

Today is Election Day in NYC as well as various other states. Lets talk Election Day Fashion!!!! Red, White, Blue and occasionally Green are colors that are very popular during election time. What do these color represent in regards to politics? What are the silhouettes, styles, and general types of clothing worn by political figures? Do you think they are fashionable? If so, why? If not, what would you do to spice it up?

BTW don't forget to VOTE!!!!

I think the colors most political figures use, are the colors they want people to refer to them as. For example, the colors red, white, and blue are normally worn to indicate the colors of the United State's flag. Political figures wear suits and normally wear them in black or a navy blue. I think these are sometimes boring colors but can be brought to life by pairing them with some bright colors.

The colors red and blue are used to distinguish the democratic and republican party. During the campaign the candidates use those colors to emphasize the side they take part on. Green becomes popuar now during elections because of the "be green" movement. Taking measures and making decisions to improve the enviroment is an important topic candidates have to think about...

I guess politicians in a way can be fashionable because their attire represents the career field they work in, but at the same time I also feel that the clothing that they choose to wear all look the same so it doesn't really say much about their personality. Of course there are exceptions to this such as Jackie Kennedy and Michelle Obama, who I feel both dressed extremely well and stylish and expresses their personality.
