Draping Week 7

We are currently in the process of developing our first fashion art projects. The designs will be inspired by various animals.
The following designs were featured in a previous Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and they were each inspired by different exotic animals.

Which animal will you use for your design collection? Which design category did you choose and how will you integrate the visual characteristics of that animal onto your original designs?

I have chosen to use the Vulturine Guineafowl bird. its from from Africa and i have not seen it before, so i thought it looked interesting. Found the stirps & polka-dots to be very different and un-expecting. I will be using the feathers & its pattern in a urban street wear apparel.

Iam currently interested in the cat family, the ocelot. I have chosen this cat for its intricate pattern on its petite body. Its eyes and adorable pink nose captured my attention it was innocent yet mysterious for a evening wear collection that I am going to chose.

the animal i chose to do is a dove...the dove stands or elegance and class. So I would use the elegance and classyness of the bird to draw a series of wedding dresses. I will also add in beaded and diamond detail on the dress

i decide to pick a beautiful Giraffe. i was inspired by their magnificent height and their graceful nature. i also really admire the unique pattern and texture of their fur.i dont know what category i want to do but im leaning toward casual sports wear. i would like my graments to slim my costumer while giving them a gentle , graceful feel. shakeyriah D
