Sewing Techniques Week 4

Machine sewing is the technique and skill used to permenantly combine and stitch pieces of cloth together to create a product that can be worn, or for furnishing usage. This week in class we learned how to thread a machine and execute parallel stitches on a sample. Did you know that Top Stitching is also used for decorative purposes? Check out the top stitch decoration on the following Boots and Jeans.

Can you think of products other than clothing that is created by sewing the fabric together? If so what is the name of the product, and what is it's end usage purpose?
