I learned that Sass & Bide are very successful and care-free designers. I also learned that a pair of “east village hipster” jeans started their career.

“The sense of free-spirited confidence & contradiction that defines their personal sense of style, provided the inspiration for the initial denim collection and the incredibly successful ‘east village hipster’ jean in 1999. Within two years the collection expanded into seasonal ready to wear, evolving from an underground phenomena in Australia to the runways of New York & London fashion week which gained the pair international recognition.”

I read about Donna Karan, who has a fashion line called DKNY. She designs clothing that has sensual expression, sense of security and freedom to move around but still looking glamourous
"For me, designing is an expression of who I am as a woman, with all the complications, feelings and emotions."

I learned that Michael Kors had an eye for fashion since young when he saw his mother’s wedding dress from her second marriage. He went to FIT but left to start his own clothing line. “He left school to start his own label in 1981, following accolades for his work at Lothar’s, the trendsetting boutique on New York’s West 57th Street. The first Michael Kors Collection runway show was held for the Fall 1984 season.”

I am inspired by the man himself, Marc Jacobs and his ideas that he produces in his designs under his name for his fans. He never seems to disappoint his audience and he seems very bright and educated in his work.

Here are a little words of inspiration about who Marc Jacobs is and what he accomplished so far in life:
“Marc Jacobs(born April 9, 1963) is an American fashion designer. He is the head designer for Marc Jacobs, as well as Marc by Marc Jacobs, a diffusion line, with over 200 retail stores in 80 countries. He was the creative director of the French design house Louis Vuitton from 1997 to 2013. Jacobs was on Time magazine's ‘2010 Time 100’ list of the 100 most influential people in the world and ranked number 14 on Out magazine's 2012 list of ‘50 Most Powerful Gay Men and Women in America’”
