What I learned for sure! Is inspired by Oprah Winfrey's What I Know for Sure community. This web blog is meant to open up discussions and thoughts among all learners. Students, please feel free to write in a very respectful and professional manner your reflections about the lessons learned. DO NOT USE THIS BLOG TO BE NEGATIVE, CRITICIZE, OR PUT SOMEONE DOWN. This platform is meant to uplift, and inspire you to become inquisitive learners.

On Tuesday March 22, 2011 Ms. McDowell, Ms. Vasquez, Ms. Jernejec and I chaperoned a group of our Fashion Design students to view exhibits at The Museum at FIT. The main lobby featured the His & Hers exhibit. “His & Hers compares men’s and women’s clothing from the 18th century to the present”. Vivienne Westwood 1980 - 1989 "examining Vivienne Westwood's transition from street stylist (and Punk innovator) to high fashion designer during the 1980's." The lower level featured the Japan Fashion Now exhibit. “Japan Fashion Now is the first exhibition to explore contemporary Japanese fashion in all its radical creativity from high fashion to street style."
Please express what you learned from our museum visit.
We would like to thank our chaperon's Ms. Vasquez and Ms. Jernejec , Fashion Design Department Coordinator Ms. Manning, and our Principal Mr. Blank for all their support.
